Meatloaf with Pork Beach Apple Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients
- ½ cup Pork Beach Apple Sauce or any desired flavor
- ½ cup packed brown sugar (optional)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1½ pounds ground beef
- 2 slices bread, crumbled
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk or beef broth (omit salt if using broth)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- Mix all ingredients and shaoe into a loaf and put into prepared pan.
- Save a tablespoon of sauce to glaze meatloaf while cooking. May also wrap with bacon.
- Bake in the preheated oven until no longer pink in the center, about 1 hour. If using glaze, glaze several times while cooking.
- An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F.
